Our collaborative team of skilled designers, artisans, and master craftsman are available every step of the way from concept, budget planning, site planning, material selection, construction, and ongoing maintenance support.

Chris Hart-Henderson | Owner

Chris Hart-Henderson is a licensed landscape contractor with over 25 years of local experience. Designer, project manager, teacher, nursery owner, lecturer, storm water consultant, irrigation installer, gardener, nature lover, and friend all describe Chris.

Chris’s teaching experience includes landscape, irrigation and horticulture courses, seminars, and conferences for COCC, OSU Master Gardeners, City of Bend, Clean Water Agencies of Pacific Northwest, High Desert Green Industry and Central Oregon Green Building.

Chris studied landscape architecture at Oregon State University. Her passion for using native and regionally compatible plants to create casual natural landscapes has gleaned her state and regional awards. Desert Rain is the first single family project in the world to be awarded full certification under the strict international guidelines of the Living Building Challenge. Chris’s passion for creating exciting regional landscapes that are sustainable has evolved organically out of living, gardening, and playing outdoors in the Central Oregon area since 1984.
